Welcome to Rivendale Lodge
Rivendale Lodge is an independently run residential home specialising in the care of the elderly, suffering from dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and associated mental health conditions.
We are dedicated to providing a total care package for service users within the EMI (elderly, mentally infirm) client group, beginning from our very first correspondence to pre-assessment and final admission stages. We recognise that the care needs of every individual are unique and also vary over time – we therefore pride ourselves on promoting independence and catering to that change to each degree, whilst maintaining a safe, comfortable and stimulating environment.
Activities
Rivendale Lodge offers an extensive range of activities, catering for many different interests and ability levels.
We have an in-house Activities Co-ordinator who is experienced in developing fun and entertaining stimulation for our Service Users. As part of the pre-admission and care planning process we endeavour to learn as much as possible about an individual and thereby cater our activities towards their capabilities and interests.

Dear Rivendale Team,
I want to thank you sincerely for the care you have provided Ena in her last years of life, and right to the end.
She was able to have such attentive and caring support by your wonderful team and was able to die peacefully there in her home where she felt safe and cared for.
The work you do is often un- sung but I think your care of the residents who stay with you is so important and should be more applauded.
The medical staff tell me you stand out among Care Homes, which doesn’t surprise me because you know each one of your residents so well. That takes a special kind of attentiveness, skills and dedication.
I am so grateful that my Mum was cared by you in this way.
Thank you with all my heart.
Sarah
We visited our friend Fran this afternoon, together with our son who is 3. We wanted to feed back how pleased we were to see Fran looking so well and cared for. Also our pleasure at the warm welcome we received, and we were impressed by the general atmosphere of care and calm. We know that many care homes are criticised for poor standards and so we wanted to send this positive feedback. We plan to visit again in the Autumn. There was a moment of live singing this afternoon, beautifully started by a member of staff, which was just magical for the residents – we do hope there is lots of opportunity for singing in daily life (Harriet is a music therapist and therefore very interested in this side of things!)
